Learn HealthSci is a San Diego based online training company specializing in e-training for corporations and professionals in the health care industry. Learn HealthSci has developed online multimedia training modules for health care professionals and sales representatives around the world.
Corporate officers
Founded in 1999 by Dr. Philip Klein, a graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania Post-Doctorate Program in Endodontics, Learn HealthSci's original focus was dental related. Previously, Dr. Klein founded Dental Logics Inc., a research and development company, specializing in endodontic and restorative products.
Brian Hale is currently CTO and Managing Director of Learn HealthSci Inc. A graduate of Ohio State University College of Engineering with a degree in computer engineering, Hale has held a variety of programming/management positions, including in-flight algorithms department for the B2 Stealth Bomber. In 1996, he founded Sierra Web Design a software development firm specializing in Internet-related applications.
Subsidiary
DenTrek.com, a subsidiary of Learn HealthSci, delivers scholarly and practical dental information to a global audience. The company is an approved national sponsor of continuing dental education through the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2001, DenTrek.com partnered with Dentalxchange.com a leading provider of Internet-based tools and e-commerce solutions for the dental industry. The site is the most trafficked commercial dental site on the Internet.

2005 clients
Oral-B, a division of Gillette Corporation, hired Learn HealthSci to produce an interactive CD-ROM demonstrating their new Professional Tooth Whitening product line. The CD will be distributed to dentists and staff in both the USA and Canada. 3M ESPE has contracted with Learn HealthSci for the production and web delivery of a series of online training modules addressing a variety of new 3M dental composites. Germ Terminator contracted with Learn HealthSci for the production and hosting of a multimedia web-based training module for dentists and sales reps featuring The New Germ Terminator tooth brush sterilizer.
Previous clients
In 2004, Citigroup Vendor Finance, Inc. signed a contract with Learn HealthSci today for the development of multimedia training content addressing the benefits of leasing. The completed module will be used for sales rep training within the Henry Schein organization. Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, a division of Colgate Palmolive, contracted with Learn HealthSci for the development of a series of training modules and e-details related to Colgate Total and other professional oral care products. In 2001, Sybron Dental specialties, Inc. implemented online training for its sales force. Courses developed for Kerr Dental sales reps as well as retail sales reps that sell Kerr Dental products through the retail distribution chain.
