Layin' Up With Linda
Layin' Up With Linda is a 7" EP by punk rock singer/songwriter GG Allin, with backing group The Carolina Shitkickers. The EP was released in September 1993, shortly after Allin's passing.
The Carolina Shitkickers, contrary to popular hearsay, were not simply ANTiSEEN under another name. The band was composed of ANTiSEEN members Jeff Clayton, Jeff Young (aka BBQ Young and Brother of Joe Young), and Greg Clayton, along with Robert Everett (a.k.a. Suave Robbe - pronounced Swa-vey Ra-bey). The EP is composed of acoustic country music (similar to The Troubled Troubador and some tracks from Carnival of Excess) – as opposed to the punk rock that that Allin and ANTiSEEN played on the "[...] Junkies" album.
The EP includes an acoustic version of "Outlaw Scumfuc" (a parody of David Allan Coe's "Longhaired Redneck"), which originally appeared on Allin's 1988 album Freaks, Faggots, Drunks and Junkies. This version of the song includes additional verses, which are also based on "Longhaired Redneck". Another track on the album, "I Wanna [...] the [...] Out of You" is also a David Allan Coe parody, of Coe's song "Fuckin' in the Butt".
Other than the acoustic version of Outlaw Scumfuc, the EP was recorded at Clayton Manor by the Lazy Dog Mobile Unit on June 17, 1993, just days before Allin's passing. The acoustic version of Outlaw Scumfuc was recorded on September 12, 1992 at Lazy Dog Studios.
