Langland is a top-50 UK advertising agency, specialising in the healthcare sector.
History
Langland was founded in 1991, and is based in Windsor, UK. In December 2008 the agency relocated into offices designed by architects Jump Studios2, and as of July 2009 it is the largest independent healthcare advertising agency in the UK.
Awards
The agency recently won 29 prizes at the 2009 IPA Best of Health Awards, including the Best of Show award for healthcare professionals for a piece of direct mail for Nexavar, an anti-cancer [...] marketed by Bayer Schering. Langland also won the award for Best Use of Photography, four silver awards, and 22 bronze.
In 2009 Langland produced an award-winning cinema commercial which showed a man pulling a dead rat out of his mouth. The commercial, produced on behalf of Pfizer, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the Patients Association, Mens Health Forum and H.E.A.R.T UK, was designed to promote awareness of the dangers of buying counterfeit prescription medicines online.
