Langdon Morris (author)

Langdon Morris (born 1956) is an American business consultant and author in the area of innovation, innovation management, and strategy.

Career

He is CEO and senior partner of the innovation consulting firm InnovationLabs, and CEO of Futurelab Consulting.

A member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Innovation Professionals and a senior editor of the International Journal of Innovation Science, he has also taught MBA courses in strategy at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires.

He has also been Senior Practice Scholar of the Ackoff Center at the University of Pennsylvania, a Senior Fellow of the Economic Opportunities Program of the Aspen Institute, a member of the Scientific Committee of Business Digest, Paris, and a member of the leadership council of the Aerospace Technology Working Group.

Morris is published in multiple academic journals and magazines and on innovation-based websites.

Morris is also the chief editor of the Aerospace Technology Working Group book series on the future of Aerospace and space, for which he has prepared five volumes.

Morris' book Fourth Generation R&D: Managing Knowledge, Technology, and Innovation is a resource or required reading at universities worldwide such as Oklahoma State University–Stillwater, National University of Singapore, and International School for Business and Social Studies in Celje, Slovenia. It has been cited in multiple academic journals and books such as R&D Management, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Innovation Management, and Journal of Knowledge Management, and has been reviewed in the International Journal of Market Research and Research-Technology Management.

His other works Permanent Innovation and The Innovation Master Plan: The CEO's Guide to Innovation have also been texts in university classes at University of Toronto, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Bolzano, Italy, and Technical University of Munich.

His book Agile Innovation: The Revolutionary Approach to Accelerate Success, Inspire Engagement, and Ignite Creativity was listed on Forbes' website as one of the "13 Recommended Readings for Creative Leaders " for fall 2014.

His books have been translated into Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and French.
