Kx radio

KXradio is the radiostation of Rob Stenders.

At the beginning of 2005 Dutch dj Rob Stenders, together with Ties Roodhardt and Kees-Jan Schoots, starts his own radiostation named, KXradio. It broadcasts via internet and is characterized by an uncensored MusicAL taste culminating in the slogan "For the Love of Music", in part also an ode to late Dutch dj Alfred Lagarde. All broadcasting contributions are made on a voluntary basis.

Kxradio's dj base ranges from nationwide well known dj's to old acquintances and friends with a deviant musical taste.

Rob AbOUT KXradio: "As a listener i was sick of all those broadcasting stations with their neat playlists. The utter predictability is understandable though. A broadcasting frequency is expensive and return on investment is paramount, not the music. It's has become a means to earn money and nothing more. DJ's simply follow a playlist and if done properly, their table is set. I was missing a broadcasting station in this acoustic landscape where dj's can still play what they like, where you can never predict what record'll come next. In short: a station for the love of music."

Besides a cornucopia of different styles and music of all times, kxradio is characterized by a fervent base of followers, calling themselves the 'club van nikX'.

KX radio's broadcasts are available via podcasts.
