Kumika kurata
Kumika Kurata (Born October 11, 1990) is a J-pop/pop/other singer who debuted in 2008. Kumika is known for expressing her feelings through her music. She started off at the age of 5 singing and doing music video for kids to learn the language. She then stopped singing and dancing due to personal issues, and started again in 2008 and she is still going strong.
Biography
Early Life, Debut, and Career
Kumika was born in Japan. She started learning how to play the piano and violin at the age of three, and wrote her own lyrics at ten. As a child Kurata wanted to be a singer, and express her feelings through her music, and that's when she was discovered by a producer that said that she have potential. She was immediately trained and taught to sing and dance for music videos, and soon she was a star. She went to a private school for girls for elementary and middle school. Then came to the US and went to a public school. Kurata Also sung in a church group as well as in school.
When Kurata Came to the United States, she stopped singing to focus on her friends and family. She thought AbOUT studying and learning english, and less about her music. In The month of February 2008, she realized that she missed singing and needed to start again. At that time she passed the audition and started singing again at her record company. Many young girls state that Kurata have many styles of writing lyrics. Her lyrics includes many different feelings and perspectives for her fans.
Kurata Kumika's Name
Her name was put together by her friend, and was used for her Japanese/English album. She is also known as Kumika Chan, Mika Chan, or Kumi chan by her fans.

2002
- July 11 - Kurata stopped singing and came to the US to study and learn english. She wanted to focus on her friends and family more and her music less.
2008
- February 21 - Kurata Started recording again. This time she had more confidence in herself and she realized that she missed singing. She started recording at a record company in Los Angeles, and is working hard on it.
- March 14 - Kurata sung at Knott's Berry Farm, and boomers!.
- June 2 - "I sing for you" one of her songs in her debut single was used for an anime that is quite popular with the girls.
- September 28 - Kurata was offered three concerts and one tour, but she turned them down saying she is not ready in the magazine of Elle, for japanese girls.
2009
- January 3 - Her album "The Beginning" is released. There will be a limited releasing through stores due to her opinion.
