Kool Magazine - UK
Kool magazine was the first free colour glossy magazine for young people in East Anglia UK. It was aimed at 16 - 24 year olds and covered music, fashion, arts, as well as interviews with musicians, artists, actors and business leaders. The magazine was founded in June 1997 by brothers Andreas Mavroudis and Jimmy Mavroudis from the basement of their parent's restaurant, the Monte Carlo, on Great Yarmouth seafront. The magazine was distributed initially through retailers in and around Norwich.
The original format was an A2 broadsheet flyer, folded twice down to A4. Polaroids filled the middle section with hand-written messages. It ceased production in 2001 with a circulation of 50,000.
