Kontrast
Kontrast (b. 11 October 1986 as Damien Mikey Norman) is a UK Hip Hop Artist. Norman was born at Mayday Hospital, Croydon but moved and resided in the South West at a young age. He started writing and rhyming at thirteen and began producing shortly after. A keen poet, he had his first poem 'Run like the wind' published in the book 'Future Writers'.
Kontrast appeared on local radio station 'Pirate FM' for a week in August 2009. During the interview he stated his biggest influence was the 'Notorious BIG', and that his album 'Life After Death' was the very first album he purchased and was a major influence behind him becoming a Hip Hop artist.
Kontrast also has a daughter who was born 9 March 2005.
Career
Norman struggled to gain recognition in the South West. He moved near London at 18 to try and pursue his music dreams. He was also a very gifted footballer, and began playing semi- professionally to fund his music aspirations. Struggling financially he was forced to move back to his hometown.
In 2009, he met Gareth Young (Producer of Sugababes-Easy, Appleton- Fantasy) where Kontrast would later release his debut single 'That's The Way Love Is' which features Lain Gray. The single was released for download on 13 September.

Kontrast is currently writing and producing his debut album, 'Introduction', which is set to be ready for release early 2010.
