Kondaveeti Balija are a sect in the Kapu community in Rayalaseema in The INDIAN state of Andra Pradesh.

Kondaveeti Balija a sect in KAPU community in Rayalaseema. The Famous Emperor Sri Krishna Devaraya belongs to this community.

Kapu in Rayalaseema is Reddys. reddy is not a caste and is a position given by Sri Krishnadeavaraya King to collect tax. Kapu of costral Andhra are called Balija in Rayalaseema.

The sources says Many of the people from many commuities are given the tittle as reddys and continued as reddies in rayalaseema. you can still see the tittle reddy in other communities also. But they are aware of their case as they got the reddy position/Job in recent decades. Since it is generations passed away the reddies are not aware of their actual caste to which they belong to.
