Koini

Kioni is a child-safe browser and social network platform. The site utilizes Google Custom Search and maintains its own database of appropriate websites. It is powered by an in-house developed platform. Koini Club is a social network platform for children and young people from 5-17. Koini Cafe is a social network for parents and family members.

The Koini browser locks out other browsers and Instant Messaging platforms which are replaced by its own internal system. Parents are able to set parameters of what age group and genders can view their child's profile and who can 'friend' that child. Being one, partitioned data base, Koini is able to set up connections from Koini Cafe to Koini Club. They style this as a circle of trust where family members May Be 'added' to the Koini Cafe as part of the family of the child. This enable the young person to speak on the Koini IM system with other family members on Koini Cafe, but does not allow anyone else on Koin Cafe to interact with Koini Club members.

CEO Pino Baldassarre has been involved with several Internet safety committees.
