Kinfolk Thugs
Kinfolk Thugs is a rap group native of Memphis, Tennessee. Having been influenced by many of their city's rap artists like 8 Ball & MJG, Three 6 Mafia, Al Kapone, Playa Fly, Taylor Boyz, & Gangsta Pat, Kinfolk Thugs are known for their gritty depiction of the harsh ghetto life as well as their cockey yet laid back flow combined with a distanct southern gangsta style. Through this, they have risen to be among the top independent artists of the South.
In 2005, Kinfolk Thugs scored big with their mixtape, We Don't Play That:Vol. 2 which was featured in The Source magazine under "Best of the Best of" section for best mixtapes in the country during July of that year. From that success, the Thugs are now in the process of joining one of the top major labels in the country, like Bad Boy, Interscope, & Atlantic, just to name a few. The second mixtape, We Dont Play That, Vol. 3, was pushed back to envelope and catapulted G.C. Eternal and Mr. Tyme Bomb into the national spotlight.
