Kidwell-e Festival

The Kidwell-e Festival is the UK's first literary festival dedicated to ebooks and digital publishing. The festival was devised by bestselling author Julian Ruck in 2011 after he became "frustrated" over the lack of literary recognition given to the burgeoning medium of electronic publishing. It will take place at venue of Ffos Las racecourse near the Welsh village of Kidwelly, in Carmarthenshire, across the weekend of July 28-29, 2012.

Kidwell-e Ebook Awards

A major part of the festival is the Kidwell-e Ebook Awards, aimed at both unpublished and established authors. It offers the largest prize fund of its kind in the world. It joins only a handful of literary prizes dedicated to electronic books around the globe, including America's EPIC eBook Awards, run by the Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition, and the Global Ebook Award. There will be a £10,000 cash prize for the best unpublished or self-published e-book by a British author.
