Promos

Rotana began advertising the coming of this album in the beginning of January 2008, with large billboards in cities across the Arab world, and television adverts that showed the phrase: NZ "Sawa Min Jadeed سوا من جديد" (English: Back Together); the NZ standing for Nawal Al Zoghbi.

Then on the 14th January 2008, Rotana began airing an advert on radio stations and TV stations which played samples of four of the songs from the new album, Khalas Sameht, Albi Isa'lo, Moshta'lak and Shou Hal Alb. The samples were accompanied by a code number that could be used to phone up and listen to high quality samples of these songs. Samples of all the songs from the album were then played on Emirates FM radio in the UAE.

On the 21st of January 2008, large billboards displaying pictures of Nawal, from the photo shoot of the album, were displayed in many locations throughout Cairo and Beirut.

Nawal will be in the USA on TOUR in november singing her new songs. For more information visit www.starsontour.net or clic on the link. 1

  • Albi Isa'lou ()

This video was directed by Yehya Saade in Terble Bekaa Lebanon, on the 6th of January, 2008. The video has a romantic theme with a dance beat. The video was released on 5 February 2008.

This song is written by Mounir Bou Assaf, Composed by Hicham Bolous, and arranged by the famous Lebanese arranger Hadi Charara.

The clip is based on the concept of love and war, and is shown to us as a mixture of daydreams and reality; expressing emotions of concern and anguish, fear of loss and hope of return.

Nawal plays a village woman who lives in a small house with her groom, the walls draped with white curtains. in the first scene we see Nawal in the kitchen preparing food, as her husband is in the bedroom emitting mixed emotions of responsibility and leaving his love all alone. She lends her hand to prepare his clothing and gives him food before he leaves for battle. He tells her not to come after him, and Nawal is in grief and pain.

In the second scene Nawal is walking through the streets of the village, thinking about him. The scene is mixed between reality and daydreaming as we enter into a lit area, a “twilight zone.” Nawal and her husband are lost and looking for one another between the white curtains.

The final scene shows Nawal in the battle field with soldiers walking passed her. She sees rifles, blood and faces passing by her, one after another she searches for him amidst them and she doesn’t see him. Then she sees him and the sky freezes perhaps to symbolize the cleanliness of the feelings. They approach each other, and reach out, but pass each other. He goes with the other soldiers into the sunlight, with flowers sticking out of their weapons. In the end, she is left alone in the battle field, and wraps her shawl around her.
