Kevin E. Taylor
Kevin E. Taylor (born 1972) is an artist and musician currently living in San Francisco, California. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina where he helped nurture a progressive art and music community until he left for the West Coast in 2006. Kevin has exhibited in many US cities as well as internationally . He has been published in Juxtapoz, Art Papers, and Supply and Demand, where he wrote an essay AbOUT his friend and fellow artist Shepard Fairey, whom he grew up with in Charleston, SC. Currently, he is affiliated with The Shooting Gallery (San Francisco), SWARM gallery (Oakland, CA), Giant Robot (San Francisco) and Neurotitan (Berlin, Germany). His work deals largely with humankind's relationship unto environment and its positioning as animal within a visual landscape. His work has been described as "adventurous and darkly comic." Although mostly working in the visual field, Kevin also writes and performs music in various forms. His most involved audio projects are Matter, La Calle and Atom Eve.
