Kerugoya CC

The Kerugoya Cricket Club Ground is a cricket venue in Kerugoya, Central Province of Kenya. Kerugoya is the capital of Kirinyaga District of Central Province. The ground is also known as Kerugoya C.C. Ground. It is the Best cricket ground in Central Province. This ground is one of the few good grounds outside big centres like Nairobi and Mombasa. The first international First Class match was played on 6th March 1986,1985/86 season. When the Minor Counties in Kenya were touring. The match hear was between Kerugoya Cricket Club v Minor Counties Under-25s.

When most cricket clubs in Central province were dying or struggling to survive due to lack of sponsors and funds, and most cricket fields were being changed to rugby grounds. Kerugoya Cricket Club survived the axe, and is one of the three ACTIVE clubs which froms (C.P.C.A) Central Province Cricket Association. The other two are Thika Gymkana and Peponies in Ruiru
