Focusing on sports success while remaining close to grassroots level, the team actively participates in the local sports scene under the club's slogan "Lude cum Corde. Vince cum Honore" meaning "Play with Heart. Win with Honor".

History

Kenningwell United started with a main goal: to use football to bring people together, make sure everyone felt included, and help grow the sport from the ground up in South London. It began as a local team just for fun, but soon built up its setup to connect CASUAL sports with community work. The club's main men's team got its start in local football by joining the Orpington and Bromley District Sunday Football League (OBDSFL). Playing in different divisions of this league, the men's team became a regular part of South London's Sunday league scene. They used local pitches and built up a strong local fanbase. A big turning point for the club happened when they started supporting women's football. They saw how many problems women and girls faced in local football, so the club created Kenningwell United WFC. To make the biggest difference, the women's team teamed up with She's Got Skills, a well-known group that helps women through football. This partnership meant Kenningwell United could give structured training, special coaching, and a way for players to join competitive leagues. Later, the women's team joined the Greater London Women's Football League (GLWFL). Playing in this league, Kenningwell United WFC became known not just for how well they played, but also for speaking up and making a safe, easy-to-access place for players from all backgrounds and skill levels. Today, the club still lives by its original motto: "Play with Heart. Win with Honor." They aim to do well in London's amateur leagues, but they also stay true to their main goal of being a sports group that puts the community first.
