The Keith Larson Show
Larson's radio show airs weekdays for three hours daily, beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern time.
Larson discusses local and national issues important to the Charlotte community. He is considered to be witty and honest in his view of local and regional politics.
He lives in Waxhaw, N.C. with his wife, Nancy, two children, and his wife's Yorkie, Moose. Larson contributes to the community, most visibly with the annual "Ride for the Kids" motorcycle rally benefiting one or more local children with a serious illness.
LAMA!
The "LAMA!" jingle refers to Larson's "self-selecting" club of listeners who agree with "poking fun" at the government and holding elected leaders accountable for their actions.
Listeners can be frequently heard calling into the show and saying "Good morning, Keith - LAMA!" Keith returns with the "LAMA!" sound effect from Caddyshack.
Larson's regular features on the show include:
- The "Lavender Folder," a segment highlighting issues of importance to the homosexual community
- "My News," a rundown of the day's news in a 12-minute short-form format
- During the fall, Keith invites WBT sports reporter Sharon Thorslandon the show to discuss the Carolina Panthers weekly successes.
