Kasugihan railway station

Kasugihan Station (KH) (also known as Kesugihan station) is a class III railway station that located in Kesugihan, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. This station, which is located at an altitude of +9 m, is included in Operational Area V Purwokerto.

History and Geography

Initially, the line from was to be built to via . However, because the lie passed through swamps, the project became increasingly challenging, coupled with the absence of residents living on the project site, and many of the workers were infected with malaria. The work of surveying the route became a very high-risk job. Strategic interests were also a contributing factor. Cilacap, at that time, no longer played a significant role in the defense and security sector. As a result, the end point of the line was chosen at the Kasugihan emplacement, and a large station for general passengers was built at .

The station is The Intersection between , , and . Although it is an intersection station, the station building is located slightly inward towards Cilacap from the east after crossing the Serayu River known as the Serayu Maos railway bridge and is connected to a dividing switch. The dividing switch itself is located outside the yard of the station and the signaling at the junction is controlled from this station.

For present, Serayu Maos railway bridge located in east of the station with new railway bridge was built in 2013 by Directorate General of Railways.
