Kashishh

Kashishh, a talented singer recently achieved popularity in the recent reality show “Sitaron Ko Choona Hain” aired on Real TV. Known for her soft, versatile and melodious voice, Kashishh has been widely appreciated by the music and performance loving audience not only in India but also in USA. Her knowledge and experience in singing and dancing delineates her as an overall talented performer in the entertainment industry.

Kashishh passion for singing and dancing started at an early age. To pursue her dream she worked abroad as an IT professional and alongside prepared for her shows and performed in the night. Kashishh got her first break to perform in New Jersey, U.S.A. where she performed at the launch of Doordarshan International, and captivated the audience by her voice. Her zest and energy is amplified with every performance. She has toured various places in the world and given performances in the U.S.A. and West Indies.

Some of her noteworthy shows include her performance in front of a strong audience at the Bollywood Fashion and Music Awards in New York, a widely popular awards event in the Tri-State Area in the U.S.A and her performance at a televised event called the Bollywood Awards in Atlantic City. Kashishh has also performed at the various events organized at the Cricket World Cup. Her band was sponsored by the Government of Guyana, specifically on the recommendation of Mr. Bharat Jagdeo, President of Guyana. She has received recognition during her performance at the ‘Asha Bhosale Live’ in New Jersey and has given several enthralling performances as part of Satrangi, a popular dance troupe based in New Jersey.

Back in 1997, Kashishh represented her college in ‘Close-up Antakshari’, a popular show on Zee TV. The judges Mr. Dilraj Kaur and music director Mr. Anand Raj Anand enchanted by her voice made personal intervention and requested the organizers to retain Kashishh and her team for semi-finals even though the team had failed to qualify.

Kashishh has learned singing and dancing from the best voice teachers and classical performers for over 10 years in India and U.S.A. She has been trained in western music from Adam Roebuck, an associate of Seth Riggs who has trained renowned artists like Madonna and Michael Jackson. She has been trained in Salsa –Cuban Dance Style from a well-known academy in the New York City and learned her Jazz and fusion dance at Shiamak Davar’s dancing school in Mumbai.

Music according to Kashishh is her philosophy and she believes music is the language of the soul. At the age of 24, Kashishh who dares to dream further is all set to launch her new album and she says the journey has just begun.

About the controversy: It was on this reality show that Kashishh happened to like somebody, who reciprocated to her feelings by proposing her, and entered into a serious relationship. However, the guy was not keen to disclose the relationship on television and wanted to keep a private affair, which Kashishh agreed, but when he sensed that the love is coming out, he denied of being in a relationship.

Things got worse when she realized he started spreading rumors about her in the Academy and told everyone that she likes him, whereas he has no feelings for her. The entire quarrel heightened to a physical fight when he blamed on the character, said it was a one sided love and refused that he had ever proposed to Kashishh.

She does not believe in sharing her personal life on camera, but when things started to come out, Kashishh Heard this and she slapped him. The slapped was not out of anger but she was heart-broken and hurt. He retaliated by holding her throat and calling her names! After a lot of screaming, shouting, yelling and slapping, he finally admitted that he had proposed to her which left all the contestants shocked. She confronted him in a strong manner because Kashishh stood by her values, she did cannot tolerate injustice and disrespect.

However, Kashishh says, “It was on a reality show and in a closed, stressful environment where the participants are not allowed to interact with the outside world for months, such reactions happen at the spur of a moment. I watch his performances on TV and feel happy for him. He is doing well and May God gives him the best in life. As for me, I am looking forward to all the great opportunities coming my way and I am excited about launch of my first solo album which is set to launch within three months.”
