Karr Tuttle Campbell

Karr Tuttle Campbell is an American law firm based in Seattle, Washington. The firm focuses on antitrust and trade regulation, executive compensation and benefits, intellectual property, product liability, and federal taxation. Its primary client base consists of aviation, banking and finance, construction, insurance, real estate, and technology sectors.

History

In 1989, Karr Tuttle Campbell consented to share the expertise of its partners, the use of its computers, paralegal aides, and research services with Brown Mathews, a firm of five black lawyers. According to the New York Times, "Experts said the alliance was the first long-term commitment between a large, well-established firm and one owned by blacks. While black law firms and large firms have occasionally collaborated in isolated ventures, none are known to have entered a sustained formal relationship."

Also in 1989, Karr Tuttle Campbell made headlines by [...] 14 lawyers and 15 secretaries and paralegals. In 1992, Karr Tuttle Campbell renegotiated its office lease, consolidating from four floors of office space into one. In 2010, Karr Tuttle Campbell represented Taco del Mar in bankruptcy proceedings.

In 2011, Karr Tuttle Campbell put in a bid with the city of Seattle to represent police officers accused of significant use of force.
