KAPS Paranormal Radio
KAPS Paranormal Radio is a weekly paranormal talk show that features real life brothers Tom and Dave as hosts. They are heard as an Internet talk radio show but also can be heard on Psychic Radio which is powered by CBS . The shows are also heard on WYCD in Detroit, WBMX Boston, and KJAQ in Seattle on HD Radio. Their show premiered on January 2008. They are also heard on the Para X Radio Network, which they own.
Show format
According to their website, the show covers the entire realm of the paranormal. Ghost hunting and research, psychics and mediums, UFO's, and even Bigfoot and Chupacabra sightings are all subjects that are discussed on this roller-coaster ride into the unknown. The radio show starts with the brothers discussing their shoutouts for the week as well as their upcoming conferences and events that they will be attending across the country.
The Hosts
The hosts of KAPS Paranormal Radio are actual brothers. Tom is a retired law enforcement officer and Dave is a retired Civil Engineer - it goes without saying - share the same interest in the paranormal. They investigate together as a part of the Kentucky Area Paranormal Society. Tom and Dave never had a paranormal experience growing up, but a picture at Tom's wedding peaked their curiosity. Tom's sister in-law took a picture with a digital camera that showed a possible apparition. From that point, the Kentucky Area Paranormal Society was born. They started a podcast to be able to get their collective evidence out there for people to see and hear and to talk AbOUT their recent investigations. The podcast took off and they decided to go live with the show. After a failed attempt on another internet radio station due to connection issues and sound quality, the brothers started Para X which traces its roots to allow for the best sound quality and ease of use to show hosts and listeners.
Events with TAPS
In 2008,Ideal Event Management picked up the show and hosts as clients. They have done numerous shows at events with the TAPS team, better known as the Ghost Hunters on the SyFy Network.
Conferences
The brothers have participated in conferences involving ghosts and other paranormal subjects and are invited annually to speak and broadcast at various paranormal conventions across the United States. KAPS Paranormal has an annual ghost hunt / conference at Waverly Hills in Louisville, Ky in May of each year.
