The Kamloops Golden Baseball League Team is a future professional baseball franchise to be based out of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. They could start playing their home games at NorBrock Stadium by 2010 or 2011. They were making ProgresS in negotiations and could have a stadium deal in place by January 2009. However, negotiations are currently on hold until next year. It is one of three cities still being considered for GBL franchises in Canada. The other two include Kelowna, British Columbia and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Kamloops would be the city's first-ever professional baseball team, independent or minor league. The other three teams are the Calgary Vipers and Edmonton Capitals (formerly the Edmonton Cracker-Cats), two teams that joined the league in 2008 after leaving the Northern League, and the expansion Victoria Seals, who entered the league on October 1, 2008. The Kamloops team would join the Seals and the Tucson Toros as a GBL expansion team.
