Kami Gray

Kami Gray is an American interior designer and businesswoman who is the founder of Kami Gray Interiors and the Psychologie of Home Design School. Previously, she worked as a stylist and art director for commercial brands.

Early life and education

Gray holds a Bachelor in Science from Arizona State University and Bachelor of Science degree in design from the Art Institute of Portland.

Career

Following her graduation, Gray worked for over a decade as a catalog art director, prop stylist, and set designer for companies including Pendleton Woolen Mills, Nike, and Rejuvenation.

Gray later transitioned to interior design and founded her Portland-based firm, Kami Gray Interiors. The firm provides interior design and remodeling services for residential and some commercial projects. A 2015 kitchen remodel project was featured in Country Living magazine for its use of reclaimed wood and salvaged fixtures.

In 2022, Gray founded the Psychologie of Home Design School, a training program for aspiring interior designers. She also hosts the Psychologie of Home podcast and author of the book Denim Diet (2009).
