Youth Team
Kamal signed for KF Tirana in 2003, aged 12 originally as a Striker but he later reverted to Midfielder due to lack of opportunities as a striker. Kamal notoriously scored 5 goal in 17 minutes from midfield at the age of 16 in a friendly match against an unnamed French side. 2 of the goals were freekicks, one was headed and the final two came in bizarre circumstances, the first hitting Udin in the face from a goalkeepers clearance before going in, and the second a cross which the goalkeeper fumbled into his own net.
Kamal made over 100 competitive appearances for Tirana U19s, making his debut for them aged just 14.
KF Tirana
Kamal was called into the first team after an injury crisis at the club when flu struck down no less than 11 first team players, including 4 central midfielders. Kamal was named On the Bench for a match against Besa Kavajë but was unused despite being named on the bench for 3 consecutive games.
Kamal finally played in his first professional match in the penultimate game of the 07/08 season, he played 45 minutes against Kastrioti, but failed to make any big impact on the match which Tirana lost 1-0. Kamal went on to come on in the final game of the season against Skënderbeu. he came on with the score at 3-0 to KF Tirana, he earned a penalty and assisted Ergys Sorra twice as Tirana ran out 7-2 winners.
His first goals came in the 08/09 season in his first ever professional start against Dinamo Tirana who were then league champions. His first, a freekick from just outside the area but Tirana on level terms at 2-2, before his second, a calm side foot from 8 yards, extended his teams lead to 4-2, the game finished at 4-4, Dinamo Tirana scoring twice in 7 minutes when Kamal was substituted.
Kamal went on the cement his place in the KF Tirana side, scoring a further 9 league goals for the club.
