Kalponik

Kalponik is an experimental rock band form Bangladesh. They work with all the materials under the shield of rock. From soft rock to blues, from hard rock to metal with a little symphonic influence.

Kalponik was officially founded on June 2004. The founder members were: Emon, Sabbir and Faysal. Kalponik performed its first concert in 20th August, Fu-wang Bowling Club. After that show Farsim joined Kalponik as a lead guitarist.

Kalponik recorded its first song "Aadhar" on September 2004, in Sound Garden. Kalponik thanks Mr. Porag Dutta for his awesome poetic lyrics of this song. Special thanks goes to Dure Vai [Sound Garden] for his cordial cooperation. This song has been appreciated by people in various music forums. Kalponik's drummer left Kalponik for his personal problem on October 2004. Kalponik wishes his best of luck.

Rony joined Kalponik on November 2004. Kalponik had their 2nd show in Rajarbagh in a private underground gig. On 15th April, Kalponik performed Djuice Concert at Dhanmondi Club Field. Auvi joined Kalponik as a keyboardist right before this djuice concert. Auvi had to leave the band for some internal issues on August 2006.

Kalponik performed many different types of concert till now. Among them women’s complex, Asia Pacific University, Ahsanullah University, Dhanmondi Club Field, Sports Zone, ACC, RCC, Engineer’s Institute (CTG) are remarkable.

Kalponik 1st appeared in television in a program "Ganer Shure Tarunne" on May 2005, with a full featured interview with 3 music videos. Another famous TV show, "NTV Music Express" interviewed Kalponik on the same month. 3 more music videos were broadcasted in Channel I. Two more new music videos are waiting to be broadcasted in NTV and Boishakhi Channel.
