Julie Kryk

Julie Kryk --singer, songwriter and musician from Canada. Has shared the stage with Sarah McLachlan, U2, Natalie Merchant, Sinead O'Conner, Sheryl Crow and Nelly Furtado.

In 1998 Julie Kryk was a winner of the Lilith Fair talent-search in Detroit, MI. Kryk, then just 18, sang three of her compositions accompanied only by her acoustic guitar, while the seasoned professionals she competed against brought their slick backing bands. Kryk won the competition, winning her a spot on the hottest tour of the year, Lilith Fair.

In 2001, Julie was invited by U2's Bono to perform a live rendition of "People Get Ready" with U2 at their sold-out Elevation concert in Las Vegas, NV.

Julie currently tours as a singer/songwriter and teaches songwriting workshops across North America. Julie Kryk also owns Shoulder Candy -- she designs funky bags/totes made out of guitar straps and vintage skirts.
