Jérôme Lefèvre
Jérôme Lefèvre is a French art critic and art director.
After graduating from Sorbonne University, Lefèvre began to write about art in Archistorm architecture magazine. He became co-editor-in-chief of Archistorm together with notable architecture critic Christophe Le Gac.
Jérôme Lefèvre was part of Crème Brûlée fanzine where he wrote about post-rock, post-metal and ambient music genres as well as on records by visual artists. He began to write about contemporary art in various fashion magazines as well as in Art Press before to curate contemporary art exhibitions. In the late 90's and early 2000's he curated a series of cinema programs with films by Marcel Duchamp, Marie Menken, Tony Conrad, Robert Whitaker, Richard Kern and Henry Hills. Lefèvre curated also art exhibitions "Sound Games" with artists Frédéric LeJunter, Pierre Bastien and Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux as well as "Meanwhile in the real world" at the Sorbonne Chapell where he curated works by Fabrice Gygi, Franz West, Olaf Breuning and Jean-Michel Othoniel among others. These works in the fashion and beauty worlds made him collaborate with Polla Beauty Group and Sephora. Lefèvre founded Beauty Flow magazine, a web-based magazine.
Lefèvre is featured in the book Les Hommes, ce qui les rend beaux by Doctor Barbara Polla where he has been interviewed about himself. He was the subject of a portrait by photographer Frank Perrin, which was published in the fashion magazine Crash .
Jérôme Lefèvre currently lives in Paris.
