Jérôme de Bontin
Jérôme de Bontin (*1958 in Paris) is a businessman and football administrator who was president of AS Monaco FC.
Career
He studied the USA, where he graduated in economics at Amherst College in Massachusetts, a school that he attended with Prince Albert of Monaco. He made his career in the USA in finance. He is a director of Sustainability Investments LLC and Mekar Financial Services. He has also been president of Credit Agricole Futures and director of CA Global Futures in Vienna. In addition he was vice president of finance of Drexel, Burnharm, Lambert and finance director of Rodman & Renshaw in Chicago. He sits on the board of trustees of the United States Soccer Foundation and has also been a director of AS Monaco FC since June 2002. He holds coaching qualifications in the USA and is a licensed referee.
On April 10, 2008 he was appointed interim president of AS Monaco FC after the resignation of Michel Pastor. He left Chicago for the Principality in order to fully participate in the management of his club. He is the first non-Monegasque President of AS Monaco. On 31 March 2009 Etienne Franzi is Monaco's new president, Franzi substitutes him.
