Joshua Alba

Joshua Lauren Alba (born July 8, 1982) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Krit on the television series Dark Angel. He is the younger brother of actress Jessica Alba.

Early life

Alba was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, His father Mark is of Mexican American descent while his mother Cathy is of French American and Danish American descent. Alba's parents married while in their teenage years. His maternal grandfather was a Marine NCO for 30 years, serving in the Pacific during WWII, and later as Asst. Drum Major for the United States Marine Band. Alba was raised in an Air Force family, along with his sister, Jessica. His father's Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi and Del Rio, Texas, before they settled back in California.

Career

Alba began his acting career at the age of 18 when he got cast, alongside his sister Jessica Alba in the season 1 finale of the cyberpunk science fiction television series Dark Angel as Krit. He later starred in a episode of The Division. He made a cameo appearance in an episode of Monk as the first student. Alba finally made his big screen debut in a small role in Alpha Dog. His other film credits include Unrest, The Dead Undead, Hyenas and more recently, he's preparing for upcoming roles for Chinaman's Chance and Fast Glass.

Personal life

Alba has been married to Nikki Leigh Alba since July 26, 2003 and has a child with her.

He loves to play golf and has modeled for Skechers.

He is the second cousin of "skateboarding legend" Steve "Salba" Alba.

He is 6'2" (1.88 m) tall.
