Josh Harris (artist)

Josh Harris is an American dance musician best known for his remixes of various pop musicians and other dance artists.

Harris was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up in an area called the Central West End near Forrest Park, where he started to take lessons in classical piano at the age of six. Around the time he was twelve or thirteen years old he became interested in synthesizers. Harris holds a Bachelor of Arts in music, with an emphasis in theory and composition from Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin. After graduating from college, Harris spent some time in Chicago, Illinois, before he moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he worked with various musicians. In Nashville he was introduced to singer Kristy Kay and through her, his future partner in The Passengerz, and also Mike Rizzo, for whom he worked as an engineer. In 2005 his remix of Georgie Porgie's "Sunshine" went to number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the United States.
