Biography
Fahy began his career in 1993 as a copywriter for Grey Advertising.
In 1994 he was recruited by then-fledgling Miramax Films to serve as their National Advertising Coordinator. Over the next two years, the burgeoning indie studio took off, releasing a string of box-office hits backed by groundbreaking advertising campaigns, and Fahy was promoted to Vice President of Creative Services.
Fahy went on to direct national advertising efforts for numerous blockbuster movies, and became a key player in Miramax’s notorious Academy Award campaigns, helping the studio win three Best Picture Oscars in six years.
Fahy left Miramax in 2002 to become a full time script doctor. In 2004, during a script-doctor job for a film already in the edit room, Fahy discovered how similar writing and editing challenges are, and decided to branch out into film editing himself. Today he is one of New York City’s most sought-after film and video editors.
In 2006, Fahy broadened his storytelling palette into motion graphics and visual effects. He went on to conceptualize and produce a slew of innovative visual-effects sequences for independent films and commercial projects.
