His scope of knowledge and experience is a culmination of 35 years of research and studies in (he claims) over 200 different disciplines ranging from psychology, philosophy, metaphysics, theology, neurology and physiology.

When not travelling and speaking, Dr. Demartini maintains his residence on the cruise ship The World, an exclusive seagoing community of 165 luxurious private residences and is the only resort community to continually circumnavigate the globe.

Biography

As described by Demartini, at the age of seven he was told he had a learning disability and would never read, write or communicate. At fourteen he was a high school dropout living on the streets and panhandling for food to survive. After a near-death-experience at seventeen on the north shore at Oahu, Hawaii, due to a severe strychnine poisoning, Dr. Demartini met the inspirational, personal health and fitness guru Paul Bragg who was a known nutritionist and a pioneer in America’s wellness movement. After being given a second chance he made the decision to dedicate his life to becoming a teacher, healer and philosopher. This has been his mission for thirty years. He became a doctor of chiropractic and clinical researcher to understand the essence of healing. And became a professional speaker to master the art of teaching, and he became a student of science, theology and philosophy to understand our connection with the divine. Today Dr. Demartini claims that he speaks over 300 days a year in over 50 countries across the globe.

News

Dr Demartini and The Demartini Institute recently made headway into the South African Police Force when he presented a talk entitled "Finding The Hero Within" to 350 senior police service officers.

He is set to appear on a new TV series in South Africa called Journey to the Core which starts broadcast on the 4th March 2009 on SABC 3.

Dr Demartini has been a guest on CNN's Larry King Live and has appeared in numerous movie documentaries. In September 2008, Dr Demartini spoke at the Waldzell Conference in Austria, an annual meeting held by the Waldzell Institute which focuses on inspiring people to live to their full potential. In the same month Dr Demartini was honoured at the Annual (XL) Extraordinary Lives Awards held in Singapore (September 2008). (The XL Results Foundation is an entrepreneur and social enterprise network, which honors individuals who have given back to society).

His offices are located in Houston, Texas on the 52nd floor, at the Williams Tower (formerly the Transco Tower) a clearly visible skyscraper located in the Uptown District of Houston.

Controversy

Demartini notes Paul Bragg as a major influence in his life, and talks about having met Paul Bragg when the latter was aged 93 years old. It seems Paul Bragg actually died at the age of 81, it is debatable whether Demartini knows about the age discrepancy. A possible reason for Paul Bragg to lie about his age is that it helped promote himself as a longevity expert.

Certain claims about Demartini appear to stretch the bounds of credibility and simply lapse into marketing hyperbole. A number of sources suggest that Demartini has read 28,000 books. This would mean that has read 2 books per day every single day for 40 years. (All whilst speaking at over 300 events a year)..

Demartini claims to be able to cure someone of grief within 1 hour.
