Biography

Born in Anderson, S.C., Wickliffe studied Computer Information Systems and Professional Communication at Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina, USA.

In 1997, he became the online editor at The Tiger, Clemson University's student newspaper - a first foray into journalism.

In 2000, he moved up to assistant news editor at The Tiger and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems.

In 2001, in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon, Wickliffe created The Thursday Show as an outlet for community members to voice their political views on the air. The show was predominantly liberal and is challenged by the conservative establishment at the University and Upstate.

Following President George W. Bush's declaration of preemptive warfare on Iraq, Wickliffe helped organize two anti-war rallies on the Clemson University campus in 2003. He also participated in a major anti-war rally in New York City the day before the invasion of Iraq by the United States. The same year he graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Professional Communication from Clemson University and began working at The Greenville News.

In mid-2006, Wickliffe, in conjunction with several former Thursday Show panelists, created The Hamilton Democracy, a politics-oriented podcast updated on usually a weekly basis.

Is a respected member of the Upstate Hash House Harriers.
