Joel Freeman
Joel A. Freeman is an American author, trainer and motivational speaker. Freeman is the founder of the Freeman Institute Foundation. He is a business coach to executives, corporate trainer, conference speaker, workshop facilitator, and organizational culture change specialist.
Early life and education
Joel grew up in a town of about 2,000 people in western Canada (Three Hills, Alberta). He currently resides in Maryland. Freeman completed his Masters of Science in Psychology from Loyola University (Baltimore, MD).
Career
Freeman served in player development for NBA's Washington Bullets/Wizards from 1979 to 1998. He is the author of If Nobody Loves You Create The Demand, which argues that merely having a profound business idea, a product or service does not guarantee the success of a business. In his book, he demonstrates the skills and tools necessary for individuals starting a new venture. He loaned one of his Rosetta Stone replicas to the National Cryptologic Museum, NSA, Ft. Meade, Maryland.
