Joe Abouata
Joe Abouata (born July 19, 1982 in San Francisco, CA) is a professional heavyweight fighter in mixed martial arts (MMA). "A-Poc" holds titles as the BCX North American Heavyweight Champion and the USKBA North American Heavyweight Champion.
Currently fighting out of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Abouata moved from Sonoma, California in 2007 to train under Alex Wilkie at Alex Wilkie's Martial Arts Academy, where he trains in American Freestyle and is part of the fight team Wilkie's Warriors. Recently, Aboutata continues to compete in the fight league Ring of Combat.
A graduate of Sonoma Valley High School in 2000, two of his friends have careers in other professional sports. Tony Moll is an offensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers and Tommy Everidge is a first baseman for the Oakland Athletics.
