The Jim McLean Golf School was created with this in mind to provide a place where amateurs and pros can go to work on their golf skills and is highly regarded as the # 1 Golf School in the country.
The #1 Golf School in America offers six US locations and one international school in Madrid, Spain. Coming soon in 2010, the newest addition to Jim's prestigious collection will open at Red Ledges in Heber City, Utah. Every premier destination offers SuperStation technology with digital video swing analysis by JC Video. The Doral & Texas locations offer 3-Dimensional Computer Swing Analysis by Golf BioDynamics.

Biodynamics
This is a new addition to the schools and the Jim McLean Golf Schools are the only schools of their kind to offer biodynamics. Golf BioDynamics (GBD) provides a service to the golf industry, acting as an expert consultant to the Teaching Professional. Using the latest equipment, GBD provides expert biomechanical reporting on body motions during the golf swing. That is, real-time position and orientation of parts of the body (i.e., head, shoulders, arms, hips, club etc.) are recorded as the golfer swings the club – all in 3 Dimensions.
Private Lessons
Golfers can train with a Lead Master Instructor, Master Instructors, and Certified Instructors for private lessons or a 3 hour "Train Like the Pros" session. Lead Master Instructors are hand selected by Jim McLean. Many are nationally recognized as top teaching professionals and others have over 10 years experience teaching the Jim McLean System. Our top professionals have extensive teaching resumes and some students include PGA Tour players. You can compare our Lead Master's to a PHD in golf instruction. Master Instructors have multiple years of teaching experience with the Jim McLean System. They are experienced and seasoned teaching professionals with an extensive backgrounds in golf and golf instruction. Many of the Master Instructors are full-time, year round teachers at the Jim McLean Golf School. It's like having your Master's Degree in Jim McLean's Teaching System. Cerfied Instructors have 1 to 3 years of experience teaching the Jim McLean System. Each instructor has completed an extensive cerfication program to reach this level. A Certified Instructor has logged thousands of hours in research and training with Jim McLean and his Master Instructors. Comparable to a Bachelor's Degree in Jim's System.
Golf Schools
Golf Schools can range anywhere for 1-6 day programs. The schools have a low student to teacher ratio and are well known as being the best golf schools in the country for amateurs trying to improve their game.
Club Fitting
Certified fitting professional will examine you and your golf equipment making sure it fits you and making adjustments or recommendations where appropriate.The Jim McLean Club Fitting Team offers a full service custom club building center. There is a close relationship between golf equipment and instruction. About Jim McLean
Jim is probably best known for his research on the golf swing and his work on The X Factor, which describes in detail, body motions, body angles and body positions. The Eight Step video is the all time best selling video on The Golf Channel and the all time #1 golf DVD in America. Jim’s “Eight Step Swing” book was ranked by Sports Illustrated as one of the top golf instruction books of the 20th century (ranked #11). The Golf Swing: Ben Hogan video has won 6 major awards the most of any golf video in history.
Playing Achievements
One of the few people to qualify for the US Junior, the US Amateur (4 times) the US Open (2 times) and the US Senior Open and has also been a contestant in the Masters (where he made the cut). Winner of the Northwest Open and 3 time winner of the Pacific Northwest Amateur. Jim qualified for the National Club Pro Championships ten times. He also was an All-American at the University of Houston and has a B.A. in Economics. He played on teams with John Mahaffey, Bruce Lietzke, Bill Rogers, Fuzzy Zoeller, Tom Jenkins, Bobby Wadkins, Bobby Walzel, Bruce Ashworth. He was a winner of more than 50 Junior and Amateur Titles in the Pacific Northwest. Jim was also named 1st alternate to the US World Cup Team in 1972. He played the PGA Tour during the winter of 1982.
Teaching Achievements
Jim’s professional achievements include: National PGA Teaching Committee Member, National PGA Education Committee, National PGA Awards Committee and PGA Master Professional (1990). Jim is an Instruction Editor for Golf Digest since 1997 and instrution Editor and Advisor for The Golf Channel since its’ inception in 1995. Jim appears regularly on The Golf Channel Academy. He was the Co-Chairman of the PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit in 1992 held in San Francisco. He has led over 50 national teaching and playing workshops for the PGA of America and has been the featured speaker at 6 National PGA Teaching Summits and 4 Teaching & Coaching Summits in Europe. He was Master Instructor for Golf Magazine from 1990 – 1997 and was an Instruction Writer for Golf Illustrated.
