Jewish Blind & Disabled

Jewish Blind & Disabled is a charitable organisation based in London that provides housing and support for blind and physically disabled Jewish people. It owns six apartment buildings in the North London area.

Founded in 1969 by the late Cecil Rosen, it is an independent charity registered with the Charity Commission and is not part of any other organisation. It is the only charity providing independent living to vision impaired and physically disabled people, supporting Jewish people of all ages, from their early 20s and over. The charity offers 24-hour support in all six buildings in north London for over 320 tenants. Jewish Blind & Disabled provides and promotes independent living in a secure environment, within a Jewish cultural context, and receive no government funding and depend on voluntary donations to carry out its essential work.

The charity's six buildings are situated across North London: Aztec House in Ilford, Cherry Tree Court in Kingsbury, Fairacres in East Finchley, Frances & [...] James Court in Mill Hill, Hilary Dennis Court in Wanstead and Milne Court in South Woodford.

Honorary patrons of the organisation include Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks and Dayan Dr. Pinchas Toledano, the Chairman of the Council of Reform and Liberal Synagogues.
