Jasculca/Terman and Associates, Inc. (JT) is an independently owned strategic communications firm specializing in public affairs, event management and creative services. From its base in Chicago, it represents corporate, institutional, not-for-profit and public sector clients in the US and abroad. It is, in terms of fees received, the largest independent Public Relations firm in Chicago. .
History
The firm was founded in 1981 by Rick Jasculca and Jim Terman, who got to know each other in the Carter-Mondale White House when Terman was Associate Counsel to Vice President Walter Mondale and Jasculca was a private consultant doing advance work for President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter. JT is believed to be the pioneer of public affairs in the Chicago market, applying the strategic and tactical discipline of political campaigns to the management of public policy and social issues and to the advancement or protection of reputations and brands.

The firm represents clients in diverse fields such as energy, the environment, health care, education, economic and community development, arts and culture, telecommunications, philanthropy, social services, human rights and political reform. Its public affairs practice includes management of legislative, regulatory and public awareness campaigns, issues-based marketing and crisis communications. Its global events practice ranges from the planning and management of media and outreach events to creating strategies for and staging public policy missions, summits and forums. Its creative services practice incorporates graphic and multimedia design, online strategies and video production management.
