Janice Kovach

Janice Kovach is an American politician who is currently serving her third term as the elected Secretary of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee.

Kovach was elected Councilman in the Town of Clinton, New Jersey in 2003 where she served as the council's representative to the Planning Board until resigning her position in 2006 to become Acting Director of the state Department Of Community Affairs' Division on Women. In 2006, she was elevated to the title of Director of the Department.

She previously was a consultant for JLK Consulting and Seabrook Consulting and was a Director with Prudential Insurance Company of America. She continues to serve on the Highlands Council and was a founding member of CPS Partners in Education Foundation, Inc. She also owned and operated a management consulting business and also worked as a management executive at Fleet Bank and Prudential Insurance Company.

She is a graduate of Thomas Edison State College and currently resides in the Town of Clinton.
