Jan Vermeiren (author)
Jan Vermeiren (Brasschaat, Belgium, born 15 October 1974) is an author and networking coach.
Biography
Jan Vermeiren started his career as a consultant before founding his own networking company. Using this as a platform, he wrote books on networking. His books were published in English first and became Amazon bestsellers. Vermeiren is the first Belgian national to acquire a bestseller status for a book with Amazon in the USA (17 March 2009). According to HR Tribune magazine Vermeiren is one of the top 10 speakers from Belgium. Vermeiren is visiting lecturer at the International MBA program of Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School (Belgium) and Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (The Netherlands).
Jan Vermeiren coaches companies and individuals for networking. He was the first "certified" LinkedIn trainer (worldwide). His company is still (2011) the only formally certified LinkedIn training organisation.
Vermeiren introduced the "Generous Networkers" concept. It stands for unconditional "giving" as a basis for the creation of high quality networks.
