JAC Vapour is a British electronic cigarette company based in Edinburgh.

History

In 2010, Andrew Logan founded JAC Vapour to serve the early UK electronic cigarette market. The business now operates globally from its headquarters in Edinburgh with sales and customer service driven primarily through the company's online store. In 2014, JAC Vapour became the first British brand to produce a vapourless e-liquid product.

Products

JAC Vapour sells its own branded electronic cigarettes and e-liquids. They are notable for the development and launch of an innovative vapourless e-liquid in an attempt to address on-going concerns regarding vaping in public. This type of e-liquid was designed to minimise vapour production therefore allowing e-cigarette users to vape more discretely.

Product Safety

JAC Vapour’s bottles feature the relevant CHIP (Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations) compliance safety symbols and a child safety lid. In addition, the bottles themselves are manufactured using materials that are deemed safe for the storage of e-liquids. As a member of ECITA, JAC Vapour defers the assessment of its labelling to them as the recognised industry body.

At the manufacturing end, nicotine bases and ingredients are tested prior to being used, to ensure that they meet product safety standards and that they are fit for human consumption. Production batches are then also tested to verify contents and percentages are all correct.

JAC Vapour also performs additional batch testing using independent labs in the UK. Although not a legal requirement, this testing is carried out as an extra safety precaution.

Legislation and Regulation

JAC Vapour comply to necessary legal regulations and are a member of ECITA (Electronic Cigarette Industry Trade Association). JAC Vapour are also audited independently to ensure that all of the products sold are safe for public consumption and meet UK and EU Trading Standards regulations.
