IPL Information Processing Limited
IPL Information Processing Limited (commonly known as IPL) is a British software services company providing business consultancy and technical consultancy, IT solutions and managed services to public and private sectors. The company's headquarters are in the World Heritage City of Bath, England. As of 30 September 2008, IPL employed a staff of 249 and posted a turnover of £22.8 million.
History
IPL was incorporated in England on 10 May 1979, and remains an owner-managed private company. In March 2008, the board and senior management completed a management buyout enabling the two remaining founders to take up non-executive roles.
Operations
IPL’s core services business accounts for 80% of turnover and is derived from corporate customers in various sectors of the UK economy including: aerospace & defence, banking, converged telecoms, emergency services, government, transport and industry. IPL is also a supplier of software products including a suite of testing tools called Cantata. The company is an authorised UK MoD defence contractor, and an accredited supplier to UK government under the Catalist supply framework.
