Intimus Universum
Intimus Universum is probably a creation hard to digest by common public, for it is about making ambience through noise, low frequencies, maybe all that a sound engineer would commonly get rid off when mastering. In other words, it can be called Dark Ambient / Noise, it has also been labeled as Illbient.
This project is born in 2002, as a result of an experiment of Fredrik Akhraeta, based in tracks and sounds taken from Gorepriest's first recording "Beneath Eternal Oceans Of Melancholy", producing the first album named "Astral Chambers", which ended in the mystery of a black hole.
The experiment wasn't really successful for the public, but it was surely successful for the artist, for he continued recording sounds from several sources (from a clock to street traffic) which would be taken to his laboratory to transform them in sickening visions of the known and the unknown, so then "Soulnatomy" was born. This unknown world comprehends from outer space to the inner mind of the producer, which are the basis for the titles of the tracks.
In 2004, the idea was re-taken, based this time in tracks from Burning Without Consumption's first demo, which continued the unfinished story of the first production, trying to explain the black hole phenomena, a topic which fascinated the mind behind Intimus Universum, and then after a good overdose of reading and endless solitude, "Astral Chambers Pt. 2 - Beyond The Astral Abyss" was created.
In 2005, Intimus Universum decides to experiment with a higher range of frequencies and background music, willing the listener to distinguish the creation under the infinite, chilling and unbearable wall of noise. Beauty hidden under the shell, and that's how "White Landscapes Of Darkness" was born, and it is by now the most recent production of the project.
Intimus Universum can be compared to the works of Melek-Tha, Merzbow, Gruntsplatter, Robert Rich, Weeded Out, DJ RedSkeÿe, Beachehese / VHS, Archon Satani, Sephiroth, among others...
