Company History

International Quality Consultants, Inc.’s QA/QC contracting service commenced in the early 1980’s as a department of Comstock Engineering Inc., a large international organization to support a nuclear construction program. This department evolved to become an independent profit center. Upon Comstock Engineering Inc. being acquired by Davy International in the early 1990’s, this QA/QC services department was split into two (2) distinct groups. The first group provided support to major in-house engineering and construction projects. The second group (International Quality Consultants, Inc.) continued as an independent profit center providing QA/QC personnel on a contract basis.

In the mid 1990’s, the international entity made a decision to concentrate its efforts on its core business units. As a result, smaller profit centers were divested including the independent QA/QC profit center. Through a management buy-out, the Company became an independent operating and legal entity on October 1, 1995 and it continues to operate as such today. The Company’s QA/QC business operation was a continuation from the predecessor organization as the client base and employees remained intact.

The Company was able to capitalize immediately on its independent status due to its operating practices as part of the predecessor. While it had been a segment of a large entity with extensive ties in the oil, electric utility, and transportation industries, the Company effectively operated as an independent small business with regard to project, management, contract implementation, client satisfaction, pricing and financial accountability.
