International Construction Consortium
International Construction Consortium (pvt) Ltd is a registered construction company established in 1980. It is currently a construction contractor in Sri Lanka. The company has the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and has the highest classification (C1) given by The Institute for Construction Training and Development (ICTAD). ICTAD is a Sri Lankan Government authority responsible for grading and regulating all building and civil engineering companies, for the four major disciplines of the industry, namely buildings, water supply & drainage, highways and bridges.
Company structure
To simplify the operations within the organization, the company has seven main divisions:

Subsidiaries
Currently there are three fully owned subsidiaries of ICC :
- ICC Housing (pvt) Ltd.
- Nivasie Developers (pvt) Ltd.
- Durra Building Systems (pvt) Ltd.
ICC Housing (pvt) Ltd., and Nivasi Developers (pvt) Ltd., are property development companies while Durra Building Systems (pvt) Ltd., is a company involved in manufacturing partition boards out of compacted paddy straw. These boards can be used in the construction of light weight partitions, ceilings and kit housing etc..
ICC also owns and operates few facilities that is essential for a construction company. They include ready mix concrete batching plants, a pre stressed & pre cast concrete yard, quarry and crusher, a joiner workshop, asphalt concrete manufacturing and supply unit and concrete block production unit.
Awards and achievements
ICC has been awarded a number of national and international awards for their work. They won the ICTAD's Construction Excellence Award for the years 1994, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and ICTAD's Construction Merit Award for the years 1992 and 1997. The other awards they received include the IFAWPCA (International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors' Association) Gold Medal for Excellence in Civil Engineering Construction at their convention held in Colombo in August 2002, National Award for Effective Adaptation of Safety measures in Construction, Construction Performance for road projects and water supply projects.
ICC has also being awarded by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. The awards ICC has won include the First Runner-Up award for 'Best Realized Growth' in 2004, Winner of Best Construction and Engineering Company in 2006 and Second Runner-Up for the best company under large category in 2006.
ICC International Division has managed to have Joint Ventures with highly reputed international construction companies and hence enter the global market. The company has successfully completed construction projects in Doha, Qatar, and in Maldives.
Workforce
The company organizes annual get-togethers for their workers and these include fully paid trips to holiday resorts for their workers and their families.
The company also reward the hard working workers by giving promotions and awards. Even the work by labourers are recognized and the most dedicated labourers are awarded with presents and awards.

ICC has divided their CSR policy into 3 categories, namely:

ICC has carried out many CSR projects to help the underprivileged people. These projects include distribution of construction material to poor people in remote villages, distribution of medical supplies to hospitals, fixing warning boards along roads etc..
