Notes

  • Until 2007 only nine football teams in the world (5 from UEFA, 3 from CONMEBOL and 1 from CAF) have won 10 or more international titles for clubs recognized by one of the 6 regional confederations and FIFA.
  • Until 31 December 2000, Independiente (Argentina) was the team with the most official international titles won in the world (15) .
  • Juventus FC (Italy) was the first team in the world -and only at present- to have won all official international championships and cups for clubs recognized by one of the six regional confederations (UEFA in this case) and by FIFA .
  • CD Nacional (Uruguay) is the club with the most international titles in the world (including official and unofficial trophies) with 24 trophies .
  • In 2006 Pachuca CF became the first CONCACAF club to have won a CONMEBOL competition (the Mexican side has won the Sudamerican Cup in that year).
