Institute for Artist Management

Institute for Artist Management (INSTITUTE) is an artist management company, which serves all media, editorial, advertising, entertainment, record industry, fine art, book publishing, radio, online/mobile media, public engagements and corporate clients.

Frank Evers is the CEO of INSTITUTE For Artist Management (Institute (IAM)).

INSTITUTE represents photographers and some filmmakers, and operates out of Los Angeles (USA) and Bath (UK). The current artist roster includes Jodi Bieber, David Chancellor, Robert Clark, Rena Effendi, Lauren Greenfield, Guillaume Herbaut, Rob Hornstra, Nadav Kander, Wayne Lawrence, Jocelyn Lee, James Longley, Gerd Ludwig, Joshua Lutz, David Maisel, Richard Mosse, Zed Nelson, Matthew Niederhauser, Simon Norfolk, James Pomerantz, and Paul Shambroom.

Unlike traditional photo agencies, INSTITUTE's mandate is to assist and manage its artist's efforts in all areas of creative production. Current projects include documentary films, commercial advertisement (print and video), book publishing, multimedia projects, museum exhibitions, resale of photo essays and editorial assignments. Clients include TIME, Newsweek, LEVI'S/BBH Singapore (Bartle Bogle Hegarty), JDK Design/Merrell, Chiat Day/Gatorade, Clarins, Chronicle Books, Human Rights Watch, The New Yorker, New York Times Magazine, Sunday Times Magazine, Amica, Guardian Magazine, and GEO (magazine) (French EDition).

In its first year (2010), INSTITUTE artists received more PDN Annual 2010 awards than any other photo agency. In a similar sweep, works by five of its artists were also selected for reproduction in the prestigious American Photography 26 book. Prominent cover stories in 2010 include "YEMEN" by Simon Norfolk for the New York Times Magazine, and "Afghan Women" for TIME Magazine by Jodi Bieber. In its first year of operations, the company reported having secured over 20 cover stories (magazines), and more than 2,000 pages published. In February 2011, INSTITUTE artist, Jodi Bieber, received the highest honor in photojournalism, Picture of the Year from the World Press Photo.

INSTITUTE was named one of "Four of the world's premier photo agencies..." in the August 2010 issue of the British Journal of Photography.
