Innova discs

Innova is a company founded in 1983 to produce equipment for the growing number of disc golf players. The company started with one disc, the Eagle, which was designed by Dave Dunipace and featured a beveled edge. Innova claims that the Eagle was the first disc intended specifically for the sport of disc golf. Innova Discs are used by top professionals, including twelve-time world champion Ken Climo.

While their main focus is in manufacturing discs, Innova now produces a range of disc golfing equipment including bags, accessories, and their DISCatcher targets which were introduced in 1995. Their discs are manufactured using various molds and plastics. The plastics used by Innova are tiered according to durability, starting with DX which is the cheapest and least durable and progressing up through Pro Line, Champion, and finally to Star which is the most expensive. The newest plastic to be used is called R-Pro. Innova's most popular disc is the Aviar Putt and Approach.
