Ingenieria Comercial

Ingenieria Comercial can be translated literally as Commercial Engineer. This carreer is very standard across all the Universities of Chile and maybe in other countries at Latinamerica. However it cannot be homologated exactly as a BS in Economics or Business and Management at Universities in United States. Despite the fact it is an undergraduate program it must be considered as a 5 years curriculum carreer and sometimes involving certain aspects which are in graduate programs. People in Chile would not use BS in Economics or Management as titles because these degrees are specialization of an undergraduate carreer of Commercial Engineer or Ingenieria Comercial (in Spanish) and its degree is considered less than an Engineer degree, but not more than any graduate program (as an example a Master of Arts or Master of Science). Thus Ingeniería Comercial must be classified in the middle of an undergraduate an a graduate program. Homologation of curriculums must be made in order to find the exact translation of the real english name for this Carreer.
