Inflexion Private Equity
Inflexion is an independent private equity house which invests in high growth, niche businesses that are headquartered in the UK but often have opportunities to expand internationally.
The firm invests for majority and minority stakes in small-to-medium sized UK enterprises from its offices in London and Manchester. It also has teams in Brazil, China and India which assist its investee companies with their strategies in these markets. A number of its portfolio have been measured to be amongst the UK's fastest growing companies, such as FDM Group and Asperity Employee Benefits which was the second fastest growing technology company in the UK in 2011.
The house has won a number of awards including Mid-Market House of the Year at the unquote” British Private Equity Awards 2012, Fundraising of the Year and House of the Year at the same awards in 2011 and Buyout House of the Year 2010 at the Real Deals/BVCA Private Equity Awards.
History
Inflexion was established by Simon Turner and John Hartz as a spin-out from Daiwa Europe’s private equity group. Funds have been raised by Inflexion in 2003, 2006 and 2010. The 2010 Buyout Fund secured commitments of £375m and closed in September 2010, just four months after its launch.
In April 2012, Inflexion opened three international offices in Sao Paulo, Bangalore & Shanghai.
